Hi, I’m Rachel.

Coffee & Sass started as my answer to a question I didn’t really know how to answer: How are you getting through this?

Turns out, “coffee and sass” covers a surprising amount of territory.

It gets me through the hard stuff. It also gets me through ordinary Tuesdays, family chaos, travel mishaps, medical bureaucracy, things that piss me off, things that make me laugh, and the occasional situation where keeping my mouth shut was probably an option but not one I seriously considered.

In April 2025, my husband, Mike, had brain surgery. Since then, life has included brain cancer, radiation, chemotherapy, MRIs, doctors, insurance companies, and an alarming amount of knowledge about the inside of his head that neither of us ever asked for.

But this isn’t a cancer blog.

It’s also mountains and road trips. Photography. Friends. Family. Three ridiculous dogs. Getting back into the gym after years away. Beautiful places. Weird places. Things I notice. Things I love. Things I cannot believe another human being actually said out loud.

Sometimes the stories are funny. Sometimes they’re hard. Sometimes they’re both, because apparently that’s how life works.

So there’s no niche here. No carefully curated content strategy. And definitely no content calendar.

Just my life, my camera, my people, probably some profanity, and the stories I think are worth telling.

Coffee helps. Sass helps more. ☕✨
